HAWK Rotary Floor Machines

A floor buffer uses a flat disc brush that spins at about 175 revolutions per minute to stripping, scrubbing and polishing hard floors. The operator swings the machine from side to side to remove soils and wax on hard floors. Buffers can be used wet, with cleaning solution, or used dry to polish waxed floors. You will need to use a squeegee or mop and bucket to finish the task.

HAWK Floating Head Floor Machines

The HAWK floating head machines use the same flat disk pads or brushes to strip, clean and polish. But it is the "Wheels Down" design that makes these machines different. Unlike the standard buffers, these machine operate with two 5" wheels to bear the working weight. Instead of swinging the machine from side-to-side, the Floating Head machines work by pushing the machine front and rear. These machines are heavier and work faster.

And since these don't word side-to-side, they work closer to walls.

HAWK Orbital Floor Machines

Orbital machine use totally different engineering to strip, scrub and polish hard floors. The machine drives a gear head that "orbits" or vibrates in about a 1" path, and drives an orbital plate that carries pads. The vibration is absorbed by rubber dampers.

The operator pushes the machine in front-and-back direction, working close to walls.

HAWK High Speed Burnishers

Floor burnishers are basically the same as floor buffers with the difference in speed. They have a higher speed of 1,000 to 2,000 revolutions per minute. Floor burnishers are faster and heavier than floor buffers, creating a more "wet look" on coated floors.

Polishing pads mount on a hook-a-loop flexible pad driver. The jan-san seller offers several different pad strengths to meet the type of floor finish that you are maintaining.
